Their approach

As a Gestalt psychotherapist and university professor with over 15 years of experience in clinical psychology, I approach psychotherapy as a collaborative process of understanding the person as a whole — their thoughts, emotions, body, relationships, life experiences, and the context in which they live. Gestalt psychotherapy is the primary framework of my work. I place particular importance on awareness, authentic contact, the therapeutic relationship, and understanding how patterns that once helped us cope may continue to influence our lives, relationships, and emotional well-being today. At the same time, my academic and professional experience has allowed me to develop a broad understanding of different psychological and psychotherapeutic approaches. In my work, I draw on knowledge from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and systemic and family-oriented perspectives, including family constellations, when these perspectives can contribute to a deeper understanding of the client's experience. I believe that no two people are the same, and therefore psychotherapy should not be based on a one-size-fits-all approach. I adapt my work to each person's needs, pace, experiences, and goals, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, respect, and genuine therapeutic connection. I work with a range of concerns, including anxiety and stress, low self-esteem and self-confidence, difficulties in interpersonal and intimate relationships, emotional difficulties, life transitions, and recurring patterns that may interfere with personal well-being and fulfilment. My goal is not simply to reduce symptoms, but to help clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves, recognize their needs and patterns, strengthen their emotional resources, and create more authentic and satisfying ways of relating to themselves and others. For me, psychotherapy is ultimately a process of becoming more aware, more connected, and more fully engaged in one's own life.
